The Korea Football Association (KFA) has warned domestic media that speculation over the potential arrival of big name bosses such as Louis van Gaal, Andre Villas-Boas and Luiz Felipe Scolari could harm the search for a new national team coach.

Japan courting Jurgen Klinsmann, South Korea deny Luiz Felipe Scolari links

Belgium are through to the quarterfinals of the World Cup, but the FC crew are left unimpressed after the Red Devils' comeback against Japan.
A thrilling finish saw Belgium do something no team's done since 1970, while Neymar and Brazil cruised to the quarterfinals.

Jurgen Klinsmann is top of the list to become the next coach of the Japan national team, according to reports in Tokyo.

The Samurai Blue exited the 2018 World Cup at the second-round stage on Monday following a thrilling 3-2 defeat at the hands of Belgium in Rostov.

Coach Akira Nishino was appointed in April on a short-term contract until the end of the tournament and is expected to step down officially in the next few days.

Germany's Joachim Low and Manuel Neuer insist they are sad and disappointed about the teams World Cup exit.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) has decided not to pursue charges against people who threw eggs at the national team after they arrived home from the World Cup, police said on Tuesday.

South Korea lost their first two games in Russia, to Sweden and Mexico, and exited the tournament in the group stage with not even a shock 2-0 win over Germany in their final match enough to see them through to the knockout stages.

While that win over the defending champions salved some of the wounds from a second...

Ki Sung-Yueng staying in Premier League with Newcastle

It was no coincidence that Swansea's form dipped while Ki Sung-yeung was away on national team duty at the AFC Asian Cup.

Newcastle United have signed South Korea midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng on a two-year-deal, the Premier League club said on Friday.

Ki, who captained his side at this year's World Cup but missed South Korea's historic win over Germany earlier this week, joined Swansea City in 2012 and scored 12 goals in more than 160 appearances for the Welsh side.

The 29-year-old left Swansea following their relegation to the Championship last season after an 18th-placed league finish.

"He is a player with lots of Premier...

South Korea's Son Heung-min scored his side's second goal deep into stoppage time to send Germany out of the World Cup.
El Tri fans vocalise their appreciation after South Korea helped Mexico to advance to the round of 16 by defeating Germany 2-0 in Kazan.

South Korea returned home from the 2018 World Cup on Friday to a largely warm welcome at Incheon International Airport -- though two or three eggs were thrown at the surprised squad.

Just two days after the Taeguk Warriors shocked the world by defeating Germany 2-0 in Kazan to eliminate the defending champions, around 500 fans gathered to greet the players as they appeared on the arrival concourse. The atmosphere was happier than four years ago when, after a dismal campaign in Brazil, the team was...
