USWNT set for World Cup semifinal rematch against England

The USWNT defeated England in the World Cup semifinal 2-1.

The United States Women's Soccer Team are set to kick off their SheBelieves Cup with a rematch against World Cup semifinal opponents England in Orlando in March. 

This will be the third time the two sides have met in the last year.

In the 2019 SheBelieves Cup the USWNT came second to the Lionesses before beating them in the World Cup semifinal in July.

The Americans went on to win the World Cup, defeating the Netherlands 2-0 in the final.

Arsenal's win at Tottenham was seen by a record crow for a Women's Super League match.

Another milestone in women's football was reached on Sunday when a record Super League (WSL) crowd of 38,262 saw Tottenham Hotspur's 2-0 defeat by champions Arsenal at their new stadium but such matches in big grounds are still the exception.

England have gone backwards since their semifinal run at the women's World Cup this summer and fatigue can no longer be used as an excuse for their poor run of results, head coach Phil Neville said.
