England, Qatar associations to explore friendlies ahead of 2022 World Cup

The renovated Khalifa International Stadium is the first 2022 World Cup venue to open.

The Football Association has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Qatar Football Association to explore the possibility of arranging friendlies across age groups.

Three years after then-FA chairman Greg Dyke described Qatar being awarded the World Cup as "the worst moment in FIFA's history," his successor, Greg Clarke, was in Doha to forge links with the country.

The 25-year-old defender has been hugely impressive since coming into the Burnley side this season and is eligible for both England and Poland thanks to his Polish grandfather.

Right-back Lowton has seen teammates Michael Keane, now with Everton, Tom Heaton and Jack Cork force their way into the England set-up and sees no reason why Tarkowski should not join them.

He said: "You saw it with Keano last year. He played...

British police warn England fans to behave at World Cup in Russia

Bob Ley joins OTL to discuss the concerns about fan safety as hooligans continue to wreak havoc at the 2016 Euros.

British police have warned England fans travelling to the World Cup in Russia to take responsibility for their actions and be "good ambassadors."

Failure to do so could lead to a repeat of the violence at the 2016 European Championship, when Russian hooligans targeted drunk England fans, or mass arrests by Russian police for anti-social behaviour.

The advice came from Detective Chief Constable Mark Roberts, the national lead for football policing, who has been working closely with his counterparts...

Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling model England's new World Cup kit

England have revealed the kit they'll be wearing for the World Cup in Russia.

England have revealed the new kit they will be wearing when they storm to World Cup glory in Russia this summer.

The home shirt sees the pale blue/off-grey sleeves of the 2016-17 shirt dispensed with in favour of a return to a plain, simplistic all-white affair, complete with St George's-themed trim.

Raheem Sterling models the Three Lions' new shirt.

Navy shorts and white socks are also back to accompany the home jersey after a brief dalliance with white and red respectively.

The away kit is once again rendered in traditional red, with subtle two-tone...
