Penang 2017 team vs Pahang
Penang have made the worst-ever start to a Malaysia Super League season, scoring one goal in five straight defeats.

Ashley Westwood could be the first coach to lose his job in the 2017 Malaysia Super League season after his Penang side were left red-faced after a 6-1 thrashing to Pahang on Saturday night.

The annihilation at the Darul Makmur Stadium meant the Panthers are the first team to have suffered five consecutive losses in the MSL since the league's inception in 2004.

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey sits down for an exclusive interview with the Crown Prince of Johor and Chairman of JDT to discuss his vision for the future of the club.

Tunku Sultan Ismail says he has decided to put himself at the forefront of the Football Association of Malaysia presidential elections because he has had enough of seeing the nation's football scene stuck in the doldrums.

Malaysia are ranked 162nd in the world, failed to get out of the group stage of the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup, and have suffered one 10-0 and three 6-0 thrashings at the hands of Asian opponents in the last two years. They also drew at home against regional minnows Macau and Timor-Leste.

Selangor coach P. Maniam believes his side are capable of changing their fortunes in the Malaysia Super League after being freed of Cup commitments, starting with the Friday night encounter against Felda United.

The Red Giants were dumped out by second tier Negeri Sembilan in the FA Cup second round on Tuesday, a defeat which leaves them with plenty of time to chart their dwindling league fortunes. Felda, meanwhile, were eliminated by holders Johor Darul Ta'zim.
