Curacao reserve goalkeeper Jairzinho Pieter died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Monday in Haiti while on international duty.

Pieter, 31, felt unwell and passed away in the early hours of Monday morning at the Marriott Hotel in Port-au-Prince, where the Curacao team are staying ahead of Tuesday's CONCACAF Nations League match against Haiti.

Haiti sports minister Edwin Charles announced on Twitter that Pieter had suffered a "cardiac arrest" and died.

Head coach Gregg Berhalter admits that Mexico is currently ahead of his USMNT side in the battle for supremacy in CONCACAF.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Mexico head coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino agrees with U.S. boss Gregg Berhalter: Mexico has the edge over the Stars and Stripes right now.

The United States will play its inaugural CONCACAF Nations League match against Cuba at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 11.

Guatemala federation president Gerardo Paiz confirmed on Friday that the country won't skip the 2019 CONCACAF Boys' Under-15 Championship in Bradenton, Fla., despite the fact that 11 players were denied visas to travel to the United States.
