Ashley Cole has completed a move to play under former Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard at Championship side Derby.
Cole, who left LA Galaxy in November and has been a free agent since, has returned to English football after a four-and-a-half year absence.
"For me, it was a no-brainer," Cole said on Derby's YouTube channel. "Of course, I've kept in touch with Lamps [Lampard], to see how good the team has been playing and followed Derby since Lamps got here.
Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa said on Wednesday his staff had been watching all the club's opponents in training this season, after the English Football League (EFL) launched a formal investigation into the "spygate" controversy.
"In a few words I can tell you we observed all the rivals we played against and we watched all the training sessions of the opponents before we played against them," Bielsa told reporters.
