Daniel Sturridge returns stranger's iPhone; urges others to 'do a good deed'

Having missed out on the England World Cup squad, it would appear that Daniel Sturridge is instead spending his summer helping those in need.

The 28-year-old is currently on holiday in the United States, specifically Boston, where he and a fellow accomplice helped reunited a lost phone with its rightful owner.

The Liverpool striker shared a video on Instagram entitled "Good Karma" in which he detailed the events leading to the phone's safe return.

Move over Messi, Aubameyang and Co., Livermore tops Power Rankings

ESPN FC's global editorial desks nominate their top weekend performers. This week's No. 1 scored a vital winner to boost his club's unlikely bid to avoid relegation.

1. Jake Livermore | West Brom

Why he's here: After going 30 games without a Premier League goal, Livermore has two in his past three. The latest was a last-minute strike to beat Tottenham.

2. Lionel Messi | Barcelona

Why he's here: Down to 10 men, Barca needed a lift in El Clasico and, sure enough, Messi provided it with a superb...

West Brom's survival hopes still alive as Livermore stun Spurs with late win

BIRMINGHAM, England -- Three points from West Brom's last-gasp 1-0 win over Tottenham, which keeps their hopes of the great escape alive.

1. Baggies leave it late but still have hope

At the end of a month of spirited, fairy-tale resistance, West Brom's hopes of completing the greatest of great escapes remain alive after a last-gasp 1-0 victory over Tottenham at the Hawthorns.

For 90 minutes, the stadium waited for the goal to come, and when it did, it could not have been more fitting. Not...

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah equals record but West Brom hit back for draw

WEST BROMWICH, England -- Three thoughts as Liverpool threw away a 2-0 lead, despite Mo Salah's 31st Premier League goal, as West Brom hit back for a draw.

1. Salah equals record, but Liverpool lose lead

The PFA Player of the Year prize may come on Sunday, but Saturday ensured it will already be another memorable weekend for the magnificent Mohamed Salah as he reached his latest landmark.

The record for most goals in a 38-game Premier League season -- 31 -- has now been equalled. Alan Shearer,...

Man United gift City Premier League title with shock defeat vs. West Brom

MANCHESTER, England -- Three points on West Brom's 1-0 win vs. Manchester United in the Premier League, a result that confirms Manchester City as champions.

1. United gift City the title

In the end, Manchester United did hand the Premier League to Manchester City; it just happened eight days later than everybody expected. Having worked so hard to deny Pep Guardiola's side the trophy at the Etihad Stadium last Saturday, United inexplicably lost to bottom-of-the-table West Brom to crown their cross-city...

Man United and West Brom are rivals Sunday but allies in stadium safe standing movement

The ESPN FC panel answer your tweets on Manchester United's style and where Pep Guardiola ranks among the top managers of all time.

As if the fans of West Bromwich Albion, Manchester United's opponents on Sunday at Old Trafford, haven't had enough kicks while they are down.

Albion fans have watched their ageing squad, seen their best players injured, bemoaned their lack of goalscorers and had Tony Pulis and Alan Pardew, two of the most unpopular managers in their history, in charge of their team this season.

They signed Daniel Sturridge on loan for the season and hoped he'd be as successful as Romelu Lukaku was. Sturridge...
