Atlanta put on another show-stopping performance of their early MLS career, battering the Chicago Fire 4-0.

Josef Martinez scored a pair of second-half goals and Atlanta United turned in another dominating performance, beating the Chicago Fire 4-0 for its first home victory on Saturday.

Before a raucous crowd of 45,000, expansion United jumped ahead four minutes into the game from an own-goal by Chicago's Brandon Vincent. Julian Russell's attempted cross from the right side of the penalty area deflected off Vincent, right past goalkeeper Jorge Bava.

MONTERREY, Mexico -- Vancouver Whitecaps coach Carl Robinson was happy with the effort and discipline of his side in its 2-0 loss to Tigres in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinal first leg on Tuesday, but was full of praise for Liga MX champions Tigres after the game.

MONTERREY, Mexico -- A win for a Canadian team in the CONCACAF Champions League in Mexico will have to wait, after Liga MX champions Tigres overcame the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0 on Tuesday in the CCL semifinal first leg.

Whitecaps defender Kendall Waston sliced the ball into his own net from an Andre-Pierre Gignac cross in the 66th minute to hand Tigres the lead, with a volley from Chilean Eduardo Vargas wrapping up the win three minutes from time.

Vancouver Whitecaps coach Carl Robinson is ready to "prove people wrong" as his side ready for their first-leg CONCACAF Champions League semifinal clash with Tigres on Tuesday.
