Ajax centre-back Davinson Sanchez is to undergo his Tottenham Hotspur medical on Tuesday, a source has confirmed to ESPN FC.

Ajax confirmed last week that Spurs have agreed a fee of €40 million (£36.6m), which could rise to €42m (£38.4m) with add-ons, for the Colombia international.

Sanchez, who can operate at right-back, also requires a work permit but is set to become Tottenham's first signing of the summer.

Rose's agent, Mark Rankine, is due to meet to Daniel Levy for crunch talks on Wednesday but the Spurs chairman is expected to reiterate that Rose is not for sale, despite the left-back's desire to leave the club before the transfer deadline.

Transfer Talk: Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea to battle for Ross Barkley

Tottenham and Chelsea are set to do battle for Everton's England international Ross Barkley.
