Crawley's home clash with Portsmouth has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

An inspection was carried out at 9am by referee Kevin Johnson and the surface was deemed unfit to play.

Crawley's operations director Kelly Derham told the club website: "We're absolutely devastated to lose our first game since 2014 but the elements have beaten us unfortunately.

"The pitch is well grassed but the frost has got into the ground and the southern end was a particular concern for the referee, who has the safety...

Crawley midfielder Conor Henderson is in contention to start when Portsmouth visit on Saturday.

Henderson became the Red Devils' first signing of the January transfer window earlier this week, having already spent time with the club earlier in the season on a short-term deal.

Manager Dermot Drummy has no fresh injury concerns with only striker Matt Harold sidelined for the long-term future with an Achilles injury.

The hosts are aiming for their third successive league win.

Portsmouth could hand new...

Conor Chaplin missed a penalty and scored a brace as Portsmouth beat Leyton Orient 2-1 at Fratton Park.

Chaplin took his goal tally to seven for the season and is now Pompey's leading goalscorer along with Gary Roberts.

Pompey were awarded a penalty in the 21st minute after Enda Stevens was fouled by defender Sammy Moore just inside the box.

Chaplin stepped up to take the spot-kick but Orient's goalkeeper Alex Cisak guessed the right way and parried the ball out for a corner.

The striker made amends...

John Marquis' double helped Doncaster to increase their lead at the top of the Sky Bet League Two table with a 3-1 victory over Portsmouth.

Tommy Rowe also netted for Rovers, who maintained their unbeaten home league record at the expense of promotion rivals Pompey, who had equalised through Kal Naismith.

Doncaster got off to a lightning start as they took a fifth-minute lead. Matty Blair flicked on James Coppinger's cross and the unmarked Marquis headed home from close range.

Marquis headed off the...

Christian Burgess scored his third goal of the season to fire Portsmouth to a 1-0 win at home against Sky Bet League Two promotion rivals Luton.

Burgess' thumping header from Carl Baker's corner 14 minutes before half-time handed Pompey victory at a sold out Fratton Park.

The win would have been more commanding but for Gary Roberts missing a late penalty.

Gareth Evans and left-back Enda Stevens both went close to doubling Pompey's lead as the hosts dominated the first half.

Evans should have done better...
