Leyton Orient manager Edinburgh dies aged 49

Justin Edinburgh and Orient chairman Nigel Travis with the National League championship trophy.

Leyton Orient manager Justin Edinburgh died on Saturday aged 49, after suffering a cardiac arrest a few days ago.

Edinburgh, the former Tottenham Hotspur defender, joined League Two side Orient as coach in 2017 and led the club back into the Football League as National League champions in April.

"We are completely heartbroken by this tragedy," Orient chairman Nigel Travis told the club's website. "The success that Justin brought to Leyton Orient was incredible, but more importantly the impact he...

Macauley Bonne: Zimbabwe's next in line?

It's a measure of the massive progress Zimbabwe prospect Macauley Bonne has made over the last year that Leyton Orient had to fend off a host of determined suitors during the close season to retain the striker's services.

In July last year, Bonne's development seemed to be stagnating, if not altogether regressing, as he adjusted his ambitions after finding the going tough at Colchester United, now in League Two.

A move down the ladder to Orient in the National League has since proven to be a masterstroke...

Leyton Orient are in the market for a new midfield terrier this summer, particularly one adept in man-marking opposing foxes out of the game.

The O's put out a desperate plea on Twitter asking for a local fan with a male dog to come to their aid and help the National League side deal with a pest problem at Brisbane Road.

"The club have been having issues with foxes entering the playing surface at night and it is thought a dog's presence will help prevent further pitch invasions," Orient said in...

Leyton Orient brushed aside Gateshead 3-1 at the International Stadium with a commanding performance.

The O's had already hit the post before Macauley Bonne notched his 22nd goal of a prolific season, heading in Jobi McAnuff's corner after 17 minutes.

In the second half, Orient ended a tricky season on a high when David Mooney cut the ball back for McAnuff to fire into the top corner from 25 yards.

Josh Koroma added a third as the visitors set down a statement of intent about a promotion challenge next...

Ryan Upward's early goal ensured Maidenhead will finish in the top half of the Vanarama National League table ahead of Leyton Orient.

Orient, who are 13th, cannot leapfrog the Magpies having been beaten 1-0 thanks to a winner from Upward, who was then sent off late on.

Upward was quickest to react from a corner to put the visitors ahead in only the fifth minute.

He was then dismissed in second-half stoppage time by reacting furiously to a free-kick decision.
