Mexico boss 'Tata' Martino left fuming over Jesus Corona absence

After an extremely difficult season on and off the pitch, Jesus Corona is back playing some of his best football.

SAN DIEGO -- Mexico head coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino couldn't hide his disappointment that Porto winger Jesus "Tecatito" Corona didn't travel to meet up with El Tri this international break and suggested there will be repercussions.

Corona pulled out of the Mexico squad citing an ankle injury he has been playing through of late, but Martino wanted him in Southern California regardless of his fitness for El Tri's only meetup before the summer's Gold Cup squad is announced.

Jackson Martinez joins Portimonense on loan from Guanzghou Evergrande

Jackson Martinez has returned to Europe after signing a season-long loan deal with Portimonense who currently sit bottom of the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

Nuno Espirito Santo eager to improve Porto's woeful record in Europe

Porto manager Nuno Espirito Santo is out to improve the club's wretched record in England.

The Portuguese side have lost 14 out of 16 European games in England and have never won in this country ahead of their Champions League visit to Leicester on Tuesday.

Michy Batshuayi scores first goals for Chelsea in friendly victory

Michy Batshuayi scored twice as Chelsea beat Atus Ferlach 8-0 in a friendly behind closed doors in Austria on Thursday.

The match against the local side was not promoted but saw the Premier League cruise to victory before their preseason campaign shifts to the United States.
