Pumas need a win, Caixinha revisits Santos, America vs. Tijuana: W2W4

Pumas' inconsistency is holding them back, but victory vs. Chivas would be a tonic.

ESPN FC's Liga MX writers pick out what you need to watch for in another exciting weekend of action.

Pumas must make a statement vs. Chivas

Sunday's game in Estadio Olimpico Universitario offers Pumas an opportunity to reassert their playoff hopes, and perhaps their title credentials, following a 4-1 loss to Tijuana last weekend and a 2-1 defeat to Veracruz the weekend before.

Tigres' scintillating 3-2 win over Pachuca pushed them to No. 2 in the Power Rankings.

Tigres vs. Pachuca and Monterrey vs. Chivas were the best Week 4 games, both of which went down to the wire, but at the end both Nuevo Leon sides came out with important wins. Santos Laguna's Djaniny Tavares continues his impressive start to the Clausura; he already has six goals after four matches played.

Here are the Power Rankings for Week 4:

Leon stays top of Liga MX Power Rankings, Pumas keep climbing

Leon kept their momentum going with a hard-fought draw against Cruz Azul.

It was an odd Week 3 in Liga MX as four games finished with scoreless draws and three games finished with 3-1 final scores. Clubs like Puebla, Pumas and Santos have had impressive starts to the Clausura, but will they able to build on them over the coming weeks?

Here are the Power Rankings for Week 3:

1. LEON (no change)
