Former S.League Golden Boot Rafael Ramazotti joins PKNS

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and Dez Corkhill discuss Kelantan's great escape from relegation and prospects for the 2018 season.

Two-time S.League Golden Boot winner Rafael Ramazotti has agreed a deal to join PKNS for the 2018 Malaysia Super League (MSL) season.

Ramazotti moves from Brunei's DPMM, where he was instrumental to the club's 2015 S.League triumph under former Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean.

The Brazilian earned his first Golden Boot that year, when he struck 21 league goals and netted 20 times the following year to retain the award.

PKNS are keen to have a better season under former Malaysia head coach K. Rajagobal...

Michel Sablon must help fill Singapore void after S.League exodus

As a dismal 2017 for Singapore football draws to a close, John Wilkinson joins Jason Dasey to reveal his hopes for 2018.

Almost every day, another Lion seems to leave Singapore.

Another seasoned pro swaps the S.League's age quotas for the greater flexibility of a foreign league. Another household name heads elsewhere.

As the exodus accelerates, the headline almost writes itself. Would the last Singapore international to leave the S.League, please turn out the lights?

But the mass migration of senior Lions was inevitable once the Football Association of Singapore unveiled its youth development plans.

The depressing...

Singapore youngster Adam Swandi builds future with Albirex Niigata (S)

As a dismal 2017 for Singapore football draws to a close, John Wilkinson joins Jason Dasey to reveal his hopes for 2018.

For the first time since their inception in the S.League in 2004, Japanese invitees Albirex Niigata (S) will have Singaporean players on their roster, having signed playmaker Adam Swandi and goalkeeper Shahul Rayyan.

The White Swans have swept all four domestic trophies, including the 2016 and 2017 S.League titles in the past two seasons. They exercised the option to sign two local players under the new regulations set out by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) for the 2018 S.League season.

Singapore football must build a star overseas to create a brighter 2018

As a dismal 2017 for Singapore football draws to a close, John Wilkinson joins Jason Dasey to reveal his hopes for 2018.

After the annus horribilis that was 2017, the only way is up for Singapore football.

So with the New Year upon us, here are five hopeful wishes for the local game in 2018.

1. Build a star overseas

Fandi Ahmad swung his left boot, the ball flashed past Walter Zenga and a superstar was born. The Singaporean's goal against Inter Milan in the UEFA Cup for Groningen in 1983 elevated the sport's status. There's no national service quite like it. A foreign trailblazer in a superior league works wonders...

Brunei DPMM change mind about exiting S.League for 2018 season

Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson discuss the new rule that will make S.League sides more youthful and examine the future of the national team.

Brunei DPMM have backed down on their threat to quit the S.League after reports emerged that the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) were ready to relax some of the new restrictions imposed on them.

Last week, the 2015 champions had posted a message on their website, stating that they intended to join Indonesia's Liga 1 next season due to the regulations imposed by the FAS, which require strict quotas on age group and foreign players.

Singapore clubs are required to register at least six...
