Tampines Rovers into AFC Cup after losing ACL playoff vs. Bali United

With a number of Singapore stars leaving the S League for the 2018 season, Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts discuss how the league will cope without some of the top players.

Tampines Rovers suffered heartbreak once again in the AFC Champions League (ACL) preliminary round as they slipped to a 3-1 defeat away to Indonesia's Bali United on Tuesday night.

Fadil Sausu's spectacular opener gave the hosts the lead, but Shannon Stephen levelled the score for the Stags against the run of play late in the first half.

Amri to use Indonesia experience to guide Tampines in ACL playoff

Jason Dasey and Dez Corkhill discuss Tampines Rovers FC's trip to Bali United on January 16th for their AFC Champions League playoff.

Tampines Rovers striker Khairul Amri is looking forward to a return to Indonesia as he aims to help the Stags overcome Bali United in the 2018 AFC Champions League (ACL) Preliminary Round on Tuesday.

One of a number of Singaporeans who moved to Indonesia eight years ago, Amri was a fans' favourite at Persiba Balikpapan and scored nine goals for the club in the 2010-11 season before being released due to injury.

The 32-year-old, who also scored nine goals in 2017, has kept in touch with football...

Jordan Webb, Ryutaro Megumi out of Tampines' ACL playoff due to injury

With a number of Singapore stars leaving the S League for the 2018 season, Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts discuss how the league will cope without some of the top players.

The AFC Champions League (ACL) hopes of Tampines Rovers have received a huge dent, with both foreign wingers Jordan Webb and Ryutaro Megumi ruled out of next Tuesday's qualifier away to Indonesia's Bali United.

The duo missed the Stags' final warm-up against Geylang International on Thursday evening through injuries and will not recover in time for the Jan. 16 crunch game, according to coach Jurgen Raab.

The duo had combined well to help the Stags to pull off a 2-1 friendly win against Malaysia...

Indonesia need more superstars like Michael Essien for 2018 season

PJ Roberts assesses if Rafael van der Vaart is suited for a move to Indonesian club Bali United.

After making the 2016 final, Indonesia will fancy their chances at November's AFF Suzuki Cup, which will introduce a new home-and-away format for the group stage.

But ASEAN success is just one of the hopes for Southeast Asia's most populous nation.

Here are five 2018 football wishes for Indonesia.

1. More big names

The build-up to the 2017 Indonesia Liga One season was sent into the stratosphere by the arrival of five world stars. Michael Essien, Didier Zokora, Mohamed Sissoko, Peter Odemwingie,...
