Sergio Ramos brace helps Real Madrid get back on track

A pair of Sergio Ramos goals was enough to get Real Madrid back on track with a 2-1 win over Malaga.

A pair of goals from Sergio Ramos were enough to put Real Madrid back on track with a 2-1 win over Malaga at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

Madrid, coming off defeats at Sevilla last weekend and against Celta Vigo in the Copa del Rey in midweek, had a 2-0 lead through Ramos by half-time, then saw out the victory after Juanpi's 63rd-minute goal for the visitors.

After Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo saw scoring opportunities go astray and Marcelo limped off with an apparent injury, Ramos opened...

Claudio Ranieri confident Leonardo Ulloa will stay despite Alaves links

Claudio Ranieri says he wants to stay at Leicester, but knows how easy it is to fall from a team's good graces.

Leicester are determined to keep wantaway striker Leonardo Ulloa with boss Claudio Ranieri saying he is confident he will stay.

Ulloa, 30, handed in a transfer request on Thursday with an offer on the table from Spanish side Alaves.

Press Association Sport reports that the bid is nowhere near the Foxes' asking price for their former record signing and the Premier League champions are prepared to fight to keep him.

Ranieri said: "Always I said I don't want to keep players who are not happy but at...

Leicester striker Leonardo Ulloa submits transfer request - reports

Claudio Ranieri says he wants to stay at Leicester, but knows how easy it is to fall from a team's good graces.

Leicester striker Leonardo Ulloa has submitted an official transfer request, according to multiple reports.

The 30-year-old and his representatives have held talks with the club but he has reportedly decided to ask to leave.

Leicester are still considering an offer from Alaves, the only concrete bid on the table for the forward, although there is other interest.

The bid remains undisclosed but is much smaller than the one Leicester rejected for Ulloa in the summer when Sunderland and Swansea were...

Celta Vigo stun Real Madrid in Copa del Rey quarterfinal first leg

Following their 40-match unbeaten run, the FC crew believe Real Madrid need to refocus after two losses in as many games.

Real Madrid fell 2-1 to Celta Vigo in their Copa del Rey first-leg quarterfinal tie at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.

Cristiano Ronaldo was given a rare Copa chance in the squad against Celta, however the four-time Ballon d'Or winner failed to make an impact on a day that saw Los Blancos lose for the second straight match after having gone 40 games unbeaten.

And it was the visitors who took the lead on 65 minutes through Iago Aspas, who latched onto a weak Marcelo clearance and fired his left-footed...

Barcelona-Real Sociedad, Real Madrid-Celta Vigo in Copa del Rey quarters

The guys answer your tweets about the worst conditions they've played in, Real Madrid's record and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The FC crew dismiss any notion that Real Madrid's 40-game unbeaten streak is arbitrary, giving the club their proper due.
The FC guys analyse Barcelona's collective performance against Athletic Bilbao and wonder if they should have won by more.

Copa del Rey holders Barcelona were on Friday drawn against Real Sociedad for the quarterfinals of the competition.

The Catalan giants hit back from a 2-1 defeat and a first-leg deficit against Athletic Bilbao to win 4-3 on aggregate this week.

Anoeta will be the venue for the first leg.

La Liga leaders Real Madrid face Celta Vigo next. Los Blancos...
