Fabio Borini is to undergo a medical at AC Milan on Thursday as the Sunderland striker closes in on a return to Serie A.

Press Association Sport reported that 26-year-old Borini, also linked with Lazio, flew to Italy on Wednesday.

Milan legend Paolo Maldini swapped football boots for a tennis racket as he made his professional debut at the Aspire Tennis Cup.

Italy and AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini has been invited to take part in more matches on the Italian tennis circuit after losing 6-1, 6-1 in his doubles debut on Tuesday.
