Dalian Yifang winger Yannick Carrasco offered a teammate €10,000 after allegedly breaking his nose.

Dalian Yifang winger Yannick Carrasco has said he offered a teammate €10,000 to cover medical costs after allegedly breaking his nose during a training ground incident.

Carrasco, who joined the Chinese Super League side from Atletico Madrid in February, said the incident involving himself and Jin Pengxiang led to some "small conflicts" which left the Chinese defender with a broken nose.

"It was at a training session and because of a collision we had some small conflicts that eventually...

Yannick Carrasco strikes as Dalian Yifang relegate Changchun Yatai in CSL

Yannick Carrasco was on target as Dalian Yifang's 2-0 Chinese Super League win over Changchun Yatai spared last year's second division champions relegation on Sunday.

The result means Changchun finished 15th in the 16-team league and joined Guizhou Zhicheng in dropping into China League One as the top-flight season came to an end.

Belgium international Carrasco, a high-profile signing from Atletico Madrid, netted Dalian's second goal after Duvier Riascos had given Bernd Schuster's team the lead midway...

Shanghai SIPG win Chinese Super League to end Guangzhou Evergrande dominance

Players of Shanghai SIPG celebrate with their trophy
Shanghai SIPG claimed the title for the first time.

Shanghai SIPG brought Guangzhou Evergrande's dominance of the Chinese Super League to an end on Wednesday as Vitor Pereira's side handed Beijing Renhe a 2-1 defeat to claim the title for the first time in the club's history.

Needing a draw to claim the trophy, goals from Odil Akhmedov and Wu Lei sealed the title for SIPG with one game left in the campaign, ending Evergrande's run of seven straight league championships.

The league win was Pereira's first with the club since taking over late last...

Guangzhou Evergrande's Fabio Cannavaro eyes Chinese Super League crown ahead of title showdown

Guangzhou Evergrande coach Fabio Cannavaro has targeted victory in the final three games of the Chinese Super League season after the champions beat Guizhou Zhicheng 3-0 on Sunday to keep the pressure on leaders Shanghai SIPG.

Evergrande, title winners for the last seven seasons, are aiming for a record-extending eighth crown and three more victories -- including against SIPG when the teams go head-to-head next weekend -- would deliver it.

"It was a very difficult game," Cannavaro said...

Shanghai SIPG frustrated by Jiangsu Suning as Guangzhou Evergrande close gap

Shanghai SIPG were held to a goalless draw by Jiangsu Suning on Sunday as their lead at the top of the Chinese Super League was trimmed to two points with four games remaining.

The draw means defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande closed the gap on Vitor Pereira's side after a 6-1 thrashing of Beijing Renhe on Saturday.

SIPG were playing the first of three games without the Portuguese coach, serving a touchline ban, while Brazilian Hulk was missing from the lineup due to suspension.

"It was an...
