Bayern Munich take shot at Man United after friendly announcement

Manchester United and Bayern Munich are set to play a preseason friendly later this summer in Germany and the traditional European powerhouses had a bit of fun at each other's expense on social media after the announcement on Monday.

Manchester United, who have won the Champions League three times, posted this "poll" on their Twitter account setting up the back and forth.

To which the Bundesliga champions, five-time winners of Europe's top club competition, cheekily responded by taking a jab at the shoddy record of English clubs in penalty shootouts.

Fair play to both and we won't have to wait long to find out which team can lay claim to the most-recent bragging rights as the two meet on Aug. 5 at the Allianz Arena ahead of the start of the 2018-19 European club season.
